Culinary Arts Program

Do you have a budding chef in your family?  Someone who enjoys the adventures and discovery of cooking and fine dining?

This unique partnership between the North Vancouver School District and Vancouver Community College provides a special opportunity for secondary school students to complete their Grade 12 graduation requirements while earning post-secondary credits and certification in the culinary arts industry.

Students acquire job-ready skills in a wide-range of culinary arts.  The program covers theory and hands-on cooking practise.  Upon completion of the program, students receive a Certificate in Professional Cooking, Level 1.  For an overview of the program, including the course requirements and a Q & A, please click here.

The Vancouver Community College (VCC) Culinary Arts Program - Level 1 Enhanced Program is available to Grade 12 students across the North Shore.  For further information, please see page 18 of the Secondary Enhanced Program Opportunities 2013/14 guide. 

The VCC Culinary Arts Program Application Package is available by clicking here.  The application deadline is April 12, 2013*. 

*Applications may be accepted after this date, space permitting.  However, priority will be given to students who have applied on or before the deadline.
